For first-time Komodo divers wanting the best all-round experience, April to June and October to November offer the ideal combination of warm water, good visibility, access to most dive sites, diverse marine life, and manageable crowd levels. If manta rays are your top priority, target December through March. If crystal-clear visibility and shark encounters excite you most, aim for June through September.
