Explore Komodo National Park on a single-day diving trip — 2 or 3 dives at the park's iconic sites, led by expert local guides. Manta rays, reef sharks, and some of the most biodiverse coral reefs on earth, all within a day.
Spend a full day exploring Komodo National Park's world-famous dive sites with an expert local guide. With 2–3 dives across different habitats — from dramatic drift dives at Batu Bolong to manta encounters at Manta Point — a single day in Komodo packs in more marine life than most divers see in a lifetime.
All scuba equipment is provided, and the trips are suitable for certified divers of any experience level. Your guide will select the best sites based on the day's conditions, currents, and recent marine life sightings to maximise your underwater experience.
Komodo National Park consistently ranks among the world's top five dive destinations — and a single day here delivers more marine life encounters than most divers see in weeks elsewhere.

Ask about Fun Dives (1 Day)Not all dive operators in Komodo are equal. Here's what to look for when choosing where to book your dives.
Guide Experience
Look for guides with extensive local knowledge of Komodo sites. Ask how many years they've been diving in the park — guides who grew up diving here know the currents, the seasons, and exactly where the marine life is.
Safety Standards
Ensure they carry emergency oxygen, a first aid kit, and DAN insurance on every boat. Ask about their emergency action plan and how long they have been operating in Komodo.
Equipment Quality
Ask to inspect equipment before booking. Well-maintained modern gear (Scubapro, Mares, Apeks) performs better and is significantly safer. Check BCD inflation, regulator breathing ease, and wetsuit condition.
Group Size
Smaller groups mean a more personal experience, better guide attention, and less impact on dive sites. Look for operators who cap groups at 4–6 divers per guide rather than filling the boat.
Boat Quality
Comfortable boats with shade, toilets, and proper safety equipment make long days at sea significantly more enjoyable. Ask about boat size, facilities, and whether they carry a spare engine.
Reviews & Reputation
Read recent reviews (last 12 months) focusing on guide knowledge, safety culture, and post-trip responsiveness. Consistent 4.5+ star ratings across 50+ reviews are a reliable quality indicator.

A 1-day diving trip in Komodo runs from early morning to mid-afternoon. Here's how a typical day unfolds.
7:00 AM — Briefing & Boat Departure
Meet at the dive center for your site briefing, gear set-up, and safety orientation. The boat departs for the first dive site — a 20–45 minute ride depending on the site.
Pro tip: Eat a light breakfast before departure. Heavy meals before diving are uncomfortable and can contribute to seasickness.
~9:00 AM — First Dive
Descend with your guide at the first site. Typical bottom time is 45–60 minutes at 12–28m, depending on the site and your certification level.
~10:30 AM — Surface Interval
Relax on the boat with snacks and water while your guide briefs you on the next site. Surface intervals typically run 45–60 minutes.
~12:00 PM — Second Dive
A second site — often a completely different habitat from the first. Walls, coral gardens, or a current-swept pinnacle depending on conditions and preferences.
~2:00 PM — Third Dive & Return
A third dive is included in most 1-day packages when time and conditions allow. The boat returns to Labuan Bajo by 3:30–4:00 PM.
Pro tip: Confirm at booking whether your package includes 2 or 3 dives — it varies by operator.
