What certification do I need to dive in Komodo?

At minimum, you need an Open Water (OW) certification from a recognized agency (PADI, SSI, NAUI, etc.) to dive in Komodo. However, many of the best sites require Advanced Open Water (AOW) due to currents and depths.

For the more challenging drift dives at sites like Batu Bolong and Castle Rock, most operators require AOW certification plus 30+ logged dives.
